Tea is an integral part of our life and there are some people who start there day with a cup of tea, Some like black, some green and some go for herbal tea.

Drinking tea regularly has a lot of known health benefits but even the used tea, that we usually throw away, can be used to treat some known skincare issues.

Here are some creative ways you can use used tea bags, tea granules, tea leaves or tea powder for your beauty needs.

1Treating Sunburns

Allow the tea bags to cool after steeping, then place them on sunburns and minor burns (including razor burn) for relief. If the majority of your skin needs tending, brew a tea bath and submerge yourself in the cooled-off water.

2Treating Facial Spots

Drinking green tea is very beneficial for your skin but you can also use the used green tea bags to treat facial spots. Apply the tea on the affected areas on your face and leave till they dry. Green tea has anti-bacterial properties that are helpful in treating skincare problems.

3Hair Conditioner

Applying used tea on your hair brings out the natural shine of your hair and makes them smooth and silky without the need for conditioning. Take 2-3 used tea bags and boil them again in 4-5 cups of water. Use this water as a natural conditioner after shampoo. Do this only if you’ve got darker hair, though; tea can temporarily dye light hairs.

4Treating Sore and Bleeding Gums

Alleviate sore or bleeding gums by putting a cooled, used tea bag over the problem spot. Tannins constrict blood vessels, which will stop the bleeding, and they reduce the swollen tissues that cause soreness.

5Puffiness and Dark Circles Around Eyes

To reduce puffiness and dark circles around your eyes, soak a tea bag in warm water and place on each eye for 20 minutes. Dark circles are a form of bruising, which means that tannins can alleviate them.

6Natural hair Highlights

If you have light hair and want a natural change of color, rinsing with tea water on a regular basis could add a few fun highlights. It’ll be more subtle than dramatic, unless your hair is very fair.

7Treat Eye Strain

Our eyes feel tired at the end of the day because of computer strain and other things. To help treat and pamper your eyes, soak an old, used tea bag in cold ice water. After 10 minutes, squeeze out the excess water and place them on your eyes. Follow this simple beauty remedy every night.

8Stinky Feet

If your feet smell or you are suffering from excessive sweating, soak your feet in steeped-tea bath for 20 minutes every day. Later, wipe your feet dry with a towel. Repeat this grandma trick to help get rid of sweaty feet. The astringency in tea closes up the sweat-emitting pores that create the smell in the first place, and the tannins kill stinky bacteria.

9Treat Bruises

Refrigerate a tea bag for half an hour and then massage the bruise with the bag. Repeat this remedy for 3 days to see good results.

10Rashes and Insect Bites

Apply used tea bags to rashes and insect bites to ease itching.
