Ayurvedic medicine considers your diet to be the best way to keep your body type in balance and fight disease and aging. The Vata body type is typically a much smaller frame. This type is very cold and dry, so try these foods and meals to balance yourself out.

Vata body type should avoid dry/crunchy foods, carbonated beverages, and cold/raw vegetables.

Vata people should favour warm, cooked, soupy foods; cooked cereals; nuts; cooked vegetables; and hot milk. Also, ghee, which is clarified butter, is particularly good for Vata individuals.
